About the ranking
Why the Swiss Lions 100
Switzerland is a small country with an outsized presence in the world's shops, hospitals, factories and banks. The Swiss Lions 100 exists to recognise the brands that carry Swiss names, skills and values around the globe.
Ambassadors for Switzerland
A watch made in the Vallée de Joux, a medicine developed in Basel or a lift installed in a tower in Singapore each tells the world something about Switzerland: precision, reliability and long-term thinking.
Swiss brands carry that reputation further than any campaign could.
Prosperity at home and abroad
These companies create jobs across the country, pay taxes and dividends, fund research and training, and support communities through their foundations.
Many also bring products, investment and skills to people far beyond Switzerland.
A fuller view
Existing league tables mostly look at a single measure, such as brand value or company size.
The Swiss Lions 100 also asks how much value each brand creates in Switzerland, how well it is known around the world and what difference it makes, every year and from public data.
What we celebrate
